At Solevo, sustainability isn’t just a goal – it’s the foundation of how we operate across life sciences and industrial applications. Today, we’re proud to share our 2024 Sustainability Report, which reflects tangible progress across our six sustainability pillars: labor & human rights, environment, management systems, outreach & communities, sustainable procurement & product management, and ethics & compliance. The report highlights how Solevo’s systematic approach creates shared value for farmers, industries, and communities while setting new standards for responsible business.
Compliance as Our Compass
“What sets Solevo apart is our ambition to lead by example… We strive to go beyond compliance and set new standards. Standing for quality, this has an impact. Standing for compliance, this has an impact.”Our Three-Pillar Framework
- Preventive Governance:
Our Group Compliance Manager oversees policies aligned with international standards, including the UK Bribery Act and FCPA (Foreign Corrupt Practices Act), supported by regular risk assessments and audit procedures. - Operational Vigilance:
Digital monitoring tools track transactions in real time, QR codes on Solevo products combat counterfeit goods, and our whistleblowing system ensures transparency across all operations. - Cultural Accountability:
Through programs like our annual Ownership Initiative, we empower employees at every level to uphold our standards as part of their daily responsibilities.
Joris Coppye, CEO, underscores why this matters:
“What sets Solevo apart is our ambition to lead by example… We strive to go beyond compliance and set new standards. Standing for quality, this has an impact. Standing for compliance, this has an impact.”Digital Innovation: Bridging Gaps, Building Resilience
In Africa’s specialty chemical sector—where regulatory frameworks often outpace enforcement—Solevo has anchored its operations to a higher standard since day one. We consistently meet and frequently exceed both local requirements and international benchmarks, because sustainable growth depends on trust, quality, and accountability at every level. How we’re making an impact:
Reaching scale: Our mobile app now serves 1,000+ smallholder farmers daily, providing real-time product availability and crop-specific guidance to reduce input waste.
Strengthening networks: The platform links distributors, retailers, and farmers in a compliant business model, creating shared value across the supply chain.
Solving real challenges: From tailored pest management advice to safety protocols, we’re delivering actionable intelligence to even the most remote operations.

Franck Chabert, Business Line Director Agro, explains:
“While many companies in the phytosanitary product market are distanced from their end consumers, our digital approach is designed to reach a broader farming audience. Our app not only facilitates access to quality products but also disseminates vital technical information and safety guidelines, even to the most remote farmers.”Solevo’s story began with farmers – and our digital tools carry this legacy forward. They represent the next chapter in our mission to enhance agricultural productivity, improve farmers’ yields, and make quality inputs more accessible across Africa. By combining market access with knowledge sharing, we’re proving innovation can amplify our original purpose: helping farming communities build resilience while keeping sustainability at the core.

We focused on building solutions that align ecological and economic success:
Biostimulants took center stage, with microbial formulations that enhance nutrient uptake and improve soil health. After formalizing our offering in 2024, these products now support farmers across several regions.
LEGUMEFIX, our peat-based nitrogen-fixing inoculant, demonstrates this dual benefit. By replacing synthetic nitrogen in legumes like soy and groundnut, itboosts yields while enriching soil for future seasons.
The FERT’ORGA range marked another milestone – organic, near-zero-emission fertilizers that complement conventional options. With the first product launched in 2024 and a second in development, we’re proving sustainable inputs can scale.
This momentum confirms our core belief: When agriculture works with nature – not against it – everyone benefits. Farmers gain resilience, soils retain vitality, and businesses discover new opportunities at the intersection of sustainability and growth.
Maeva Gauvrit, Group Business Development Manager, Specialty Fertilizers and Biostimulants, reflects:
“Solevo’s shift toward a more ESG-oriented product offering was swift and ambitious, especially for a company rooted in commodity trading. But the will for more sustainable agriculture is strong, both among our teams and our customers. We’re entering a new chapter full of potential.”We invite you to explore the full 2024 Sustainability Report to see how Solevo is turning principles into measurable progress. While proud of what we’ve accomplished, we see this as a milestone – not a finish line. With a clear strategy for 2025 and beyond, we’re committed to deepening sustainability across our organization – because responsible chemistry isn’t just our business; it’s our legacy.
